Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette MarĂ©, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped MarĂ© through the hardest days after Ben died. You are welcome to leave comments on where your charms “found” you and what it meant to you. You can also contact us at CharmedSedona@gmail.com or at Charmed Sedona on Facebook.

Work/Play day #3......

May 27, 2011

While being chatty and catching up on everything we're all doing...we still managed to make 83 charms! We were all feeling pretty sassy…showing off the ones we made and congratulating each other.  Tara, one of our first recipients stopped in to say Hello; to learn more about what we were doing; and to take some pictures.  That was a real treat for us.  She took one with her to put downtown Taos while visiting there

Our goals are lofty…several of us have committed to making at least 100 each over the summer so we can have a big distribution in September.  Already, our project has spread to Colorado, Oregon, New Mexico, Florida, Maine and beyond…all the way to New Zealand.  Being KIND is really quite fun!
