Project Beginnings

The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette Maré, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped Maré through the hardest days after Ben died. Touched

Hello… a dear friend shared your site and mission with me today. I so love the concept and what you are doing. I first saw a program about Ben’s  Bells about a year ago and was so very touched by it. There is nothing richer than random acts of kindness.

Just wanted you to know that you have touched one more person through your actions. I know you have touched the lives of many and have triggered the thought of spreading kindness. Yes, the world needs more of that from everyone.
