Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette Maré, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped Maré through the hardest days after Ben died. Hi,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to spread and encourage kindness. My Mom and I have been in Sedona for a couple days now and everyone we have encountered has been so welcoming and nice.

The idea of paying it forward and passing along kindness is dear to my heart so I can't wait to take this back to Raleigh North Carolina and leave it in a special place where another can find it.

A good friend of mine started codeofkindness.com and I know he has had trouble getting the word out and encouraging posts and I noticed you might be having the same trouble based upon your fb page. Don't give up! One act of kindness can spread :)

Tiffany
