Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette Maré, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped Maré through the hardest days after Ben died. You are welcome to leave comments on where your charms “found” you and what it meant to you. You can also contact us at CharmedSedona@gmail.com or at Charmed Sedona on Facebook.

Hello Women of Sedona!
I found your kindness charm on Friday, June 27th, on the way up to Devil's Bridge.  I read the charm and wasn't sure whether I was supposed to take it or not, and decided to go forward.  After about 100ft, I turned around and grabbed it knowing it was meant for me!  I gave it to my 8 year old daughter, and she loved it (almost felt it was magical)!  She's even thinking of leaving it on our trip to Wisconsin for someone to find.  Never hurts to spread the kindness Emoji
Thanks for making my day of hiking even brighter!
