Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette MarĂ©, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped MarĂ© through the hardest days after Ben died. You are welcome to leave comments on where your charms “found” you and what it meant to you. You can also contact us at CharmedSedona@gmail.com or at Charmed Sedona on Facebook.

Marathon Charms

Hello, my name is Ana and I just wanted to tell you how very excited I was to find your charm! I found it on the path in Sedona where they were having the marathon yesterday, February 2. What is ironic is when I saw it it reminded me of Ben's Bells in Tucson, needless to say I was very excited to find out that you lovely ladies were doing the same things as them. I am a Tucson native, currently a student at NAU, and the Ben's Bell project has been very close to my heart. I have seen them do so many acts of kindness and you can see it transforming our city for the better. Keep up the great work ladies!
Also, at NAU I am a part of a sorority called Omega Phi Alpha, we are a service sorority and do about 12+ community service projects a semester. We were actually volunteering at the marathon when I found your charm.  If you ladies ever need help in making charms, or helping in an event feel we would love to help your organization. Thank you for your acts of kindness,

Ana Gallardo
