Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette MarĂ©, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped MarĂ© through the hardest days after Ben died. You are welcome to leave comments on where your charms “found” you and what it meant to you. You can also contact us at CharmedSedona@gmail.com or at Charmed Sedona on Facebook.

My husband and I were hiking on Chuck Wagon Trail yesterday when I noticed something sparkling on a branch. I said, "oh dear, someone lost their bracelet" and was thinking how pretty it was with the blue hearts. Only then I noticed the note that said "take me home and spread kindness." What a nice warm feeling came over me! My first thought was that I should leave it for someone else to be surprised.....but then thought...no, it said take it home, so I did. What a lovely thing to do. I have it hanging on a wall and am going to keep it just like that so I will be reminded to pass on that warm feeling to others. What a Sedona experience. We're from upstate New York and winter here and we had just been talking on our hike about how kind and friendly people are here. You relax and soften within a couple of days. It it's people like you that make it such a wonderful place. I certainly will pass on the kindness. Thank you, Mary Beth Nowak
