Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette Maré, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped Maré through the hardest days after Ben died. You are welcome to leave comments on where your charms “found” you and what it meant to you. You can also contact us at CharmedSedona@gmail.com or at Charmed Sedona on Facebook.

Sedona/Colorado Syncronocities

Hello,

My name is Gwen Waldecker.  I left a message on Facebook and saw this email address, so I wanted to leave it here also.

A friend of mine, Linda, and her husband just moved from Ky to Colorado.  I only met Linda a few months before she left.  I teach Zumba and she came to my class.  I also practice something called Re-connective healing.  During our short time of knowing each other, we have had all these connections between us.  From the moment I met her I felt a strong tie to her like I have not felt before.  Before Linda left, I told her about a web site I found that was dedicated to reporting acts of kindness, and ideas for showing acts of kindness.  I found this web site from a book I read called "The Bond" by Lynne Mctaggart.  I told her some of the stories.  I was going to give her cards I printed out from the site to spread around Colorado. They are pay if forward cards.  Whenever anyone anonymously or gives any type of kindness act toward another, we leave the cards for that person to then spread the act of kindness to others.  Anyway, time got short and I forgot to give her the cards.
Linda told me before they left that they were going to go to Arizona. I told her she had to go to Sedona.  I told her how much my husband and I loved Sedona.  We went there for our 25th anniversary 3 years ago and fell in love with it.  It felt very familiar to us. Then last week-end, Linda and her husband were celebrating their anniversary by geocaching in the Colorado Mountains.  That is where they found your charm.  I find this so fascinating.  I was talking to her about spreading kindness, and she finds your kindness bug.  Then I was talking to her about Sedona and the charm comes from there.  I don't know what this means, but I find it so cool.  Linda is one of the
kindest people I have met.  She will spread the kindness bug.  I am so happy that Linda found your Charm and she shared the story with me. Thank you!

Peace and Love,
Gwen

  1. Hello

We found another charm in the bushes outside our house in Karori, Wellington, New Zealand. This is our second one this year. My son found it and thought it was a necklace but when he climbed up the hill, he was very exited to find another Kindness Charm.

    My son said:
I think it's very kind of you to go out and make these Kindness Charms and put them around the world. They are all very pretty.Keep up the good work.
