Project Beginnings

Sedona, Arizona, United States
The original idea came from a woman we read about, who lost her son Ben. His mother, Jeannette MarĂ©, began fashioning bells as a therapy at first and then as a tribute. Twice a year they are hung around Tucson, with a note inviting those who find them to take them and let them serve as a reminder to spread kindness. It was kindness, after all - simple, everyday acts of human kindness - that had helped MarĂ© through the hardest days after Ben died. Read more: http://www.BensBells.org Our sincere hope is that your charm finds you and inspires you to spread kindness in many ways, whether you are from Sedona or another area. You are welcome to leave comments on where your charms “found” you and what it meant to you. You can also contact us at CharmedSedona@gmail.com or at Charmed Sedona on Facebook.

Touch of an Angel

My 7 year old great granddaughter Austyn and I accompanied my husband to his oncologist appointment last week in Sedona.
As children aren't allowed into the oncology area Austyn said we should "investigate" the grounds outside the building.
As we neared the little wooden bridge, we spied a sparkle in a small tree branch and discovered one of your "Spread Kindness"chains dangling there. It was like being given a secret blessing. Austyn was thrilled and I was so touched, this message from unknown benefactors was like being touched by angels. Thank you.

Recently it was brought to my attention that the majority of posts made in the past were no longer showing up on this blog spot. I looked more in to it and found that they are still available but you need to go to the bottom of the last post and hit (press) on the script that says "older posts". I don't know why or how they were archived this way, but it is the way it is for now.

Hi,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to spread and encourage kindness. My Mom and I have been in Sedona for a couple days now and everyone we have encountered has been so welcoming and nice.

The idea of paying it forward and passing along kindness is dear to my heart so I can't wait to take this back to Raleigh North Carolina and leave it in a special place where another can find it.

A good friend of mine started codeofkindness.com and I know he has had trouble getting the word out and encouraging posts and I noticed you might be having the same trouble based upon your fb page. Don't give up! One act of kindness can spread :)
